Chris is a fine art landscape and nature photographer who finds solace and inspiration in the tranquil beauty of the natural world. Dividing his time between a small cabin nestled in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington during the winters and a humble cabin/shack in the Copper Valley of rural Alaska. Chris has dedicated his life to capturing the essence of the landscapes that surround him.
His journey with photography began in the early 1980s with a simple Kodak 110 camera gifted to him one Christmas. From that first spark, his passion grew—progressing to a Pentax 35mm, and the tactile artistry of developing film in a darkroom. Today Chris continues his pursuit, capturing images that embody the raw splendor of the natural world—what he reverently refers to as "God's Masterpieces." His work features majestic mountain vistas, serene lakes, and captivating glimpses of wildlife, with the final thought before the "click" of the shutter; will this inspire dreams of adventure or tranquility?
Unlike many who achieve prominence in the world of fine art photography, Chris is the unknown artist. After breaking away from the chaos of a business-driven life, one that had begun to crumble his spirit, he began to search of a truer calling. Today with a renewed sense of purpose, Chris now endeavors to share the beauty of earth and its nigh sky through his photography, offering prints that adorn walls and inspire dreams. His images are more than art—they are a testament to the beauty that lies beyond the ordinary, inviting all who view them to reconnect with the grandeur of nature and embark on their own journey of adventure.
